| Its distance from Thessaloniki is 87km and from Polygiros 38km. Found at an altitude of 590m. Arnea (Liarigovi) is the capital of northern Halkidiki and where the metropolis of Ierissos - Mount Athos and Ardamerion is. At the height of Profiti Ilia, at a distance of approximately 3km north of Arnea, remain a few ruins of a small town. Mainly visible is part of a wall from the fortification of the citadel.
